2010 Hybrid Toyota Prius:
This is
one of the best priced hybrids out there. They have come along way with
the battery life and who can argue with the gas mileage. Where else are
you going to get 50 MPG? The MSRP is around $21,999 minus the $4,500 that
you get for your clunker leaving you a bill of $17,499 on a 72 month loan at
4.99% giving you payments of just over $250 a month. I am guessing that
the money you will save in gas every month will offset that quite a bit.

2009 Mini Cooper: A
sweet import for a sweeter price. This one is $18,499 before the clunker
deal. That leaves you $13,999 after the government pitches in their share.
Sporting a 28/37 MPG gives you the gas mileage to make it an appropriate
purchase for commuting.

2009 Hyundai Sonata:
I really have a problem with HYUNDAI at this moment. Even as I look at
sites for info, I see everyone falling for the same problem. They are
advertising $2000 cash back + $1.49 a gallon. BULLCRAP! The
salesperson I talked to at the dealership confirmed with his Hyundai papers that
you either get the $2000 or $1000 +$1.49 a gallon for a year. I went in
thinking I could pick up a Sonata for $3000 because you could take an additional
$1000 off if you didn't take the gas according to their site. But the
salesperson assured me numerous times, that it is not the way it is run even
though I told him that is how it is advertised. BOOOOO!!! Seems like
the old bait and switch. Still, the Sonata gets you an average of 28 MPG
which is good. After all the deals, you will get this for $12,200.

2009 Nissan Altima: This
is a very sweet car. I am partial to Nissans because I own one and it has
never broken down...EVER!!! The gas mileage is a respectful 23/31 MPH.
It comes to $13,900 after all the cash back and clunker money. Very nice
car for that cheap of a price AND they will last!!!

VANS AND TRUCKS:
2009 Honda Odyssey:
You got to love the vans nowadays. This one is ranked #1 for
safety and it shows. There are no incentives from Honda, which I think
they are missing the boat. After the clunker deal, this will run you about
$21,854. The van gets great gas mileage and has great resell value.

2009 Ford Escape: This ride is what I am
looking to trade me old Ford Windstar in on. I would get $4,500 and Ford
is doing what the others are not...giving $2,500 cash back. After getting
the cash back and the CARS money, you will end up with only a $12,999 bill.
Depending on the interest rate you can get, this will be $180-190 for 72 months.

2009 Toyota Tacoma: This truck is only around
$8,999 after cash back and clunker money. That puts the payments at a very
affordable $125 to $135 a month.

2009 Toyota Venza: Just a neat crossover car
or SUV or whatever you call it. Toyota drops some cash back on this ride
and the sales will go through the roof. If not, they might rise a slight
bit but stay disappointing. The price comes to around $21,399 after
clunkers for cash money.
