UPDATE 6-22-10 I realized that this page needed some updating when I read it and got bored. (LOL) I decided to make it a page that offers you a look at my best deals that I have come across in recent as well as past times. I am starting with the printer I got for basically a steal. It is a laser color blah blah blah...right to the point...$1000 printer for $119 at Staples. I brought in an ad that I printed online from a store in CA that was selling three of these printers to the first 3 people that came through their door on black Friday. I asked them if they would match the add and the guy said he would have to ask the manager. After what seemed like a lifetime, he came back and said no problem. I brought the printer to the register and he about lost it when he saw the original price of $999. You see, I got the printer for $199 plus 10% difference allowing me to walk out the door with a $1000 printer for a whooping $119 plus uncle Sam's share. The funniest part of the whole thing was when the guy asked me where he could get a copy of that ad. Too funny!
As of 7-13-09, I am trying to work the best deal I can for a new car. I need something for gas mileage. I currently get about 18 MPG to and from work. So, I am hoping to trade in my car for something close to 30 MPG. I have found that everyone in town is wildly overpriced when compared to Simmons-Rockwell in NY. It is a 2 hours drive, but worth it when you save $2,000 off of your new car. I will be writing more about this whole situation in the very near future. I want to have this car home by the end of July at the latest. We will see.
This week's best deals are revolving around the cash for clunkers law that was just formed. You will see a link above to check out my thoughts about it. I will be adding some grocery deals I found in a little bit. Feel free to blog about them in the blog section.
Grocery News: I, would have to say this month's best deal was by far the Gillette razor from Target. Where else can you you use 2 $4.00 off coupons and pay $7.98 out off pocket and get a $10 gift card and two razors in return. After the initial payout of $7.98 from my pocket, I was able to use the gift card and do the same transaction 20 times and attain $40 in gift cards and 20 fusion razors with 20 aaa Duracell batteries. If you feel that this was not the best deal of the month, feel free to let me know in the forums section.
There was also the Pop-Tart deal which was really sweat. You end up buying 12 pack of Pop-Tarts for 80 cents a box. Needlessly to say, I now have at least two months worth of Pop-Tarts. Thank god I love cinnamon.
There were also the numerous CVS deals which seemed to be the best they have had in quite a while. I seemed to stock up on a ton of sun screen which was practically free and other beauty care items.
Since I am on vacation right now, I will update this section as I find the deals. I can tell you one thing, there are no deals in Ocean City, MD! Everything is 2 times the normal price. $2.25 for a can of coke...I am in the wrong business!
Have fun and check out the coupon section for an complete alphabetical list of coupons. I will be updating that everyday so check back daily and bookmark it in order to save some money.
